Ms. Starks' Class

Greetings! 

My name is Miriam Starks, and this is my 4th year teaching and my fourth year at Tindley.  I received my Bachelor’s Degree from IUPUI and my MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University in Human Resources. 

After working six years in a school setting, as a behavior specialist with the Indianapolis Public Schools, I transferred downtown to work in the Human Resources Department where I worked six additional years. After much thought, I decided I belonged in the classroom and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made.  I absolutely love teaching! 

I have one son named Matthew, who attends Tuskegee University where he is majoring in Digital Marketing and Advertising.

This year, I will continue to teach 4^th grade math.  I am SUPER excited to teach, learn and explore the wonderful world of math with Tindley scholars.  I love, love, love children and I intend to give them what they deserve - an opportunity to learn!  I am excited about what lies ahead, and I am looking forward to another great experience at Tindley.  Should you need to contact me, I may be reached by email at [email protected] or through our class dojo.  If you have not signed up, I highly encourage you to do so, as this is a great tool to stay in touch with your scholar’s activities in this class.
