Ms. Hanno's Class

Hello, my name is Sara Hanno, and I will be your scholar's teacher for the 2021-2022 school year!
About Me
imageI am originally from a small town in NW Indiana, and I attended IUPUI in Indianapolis from 2015 - 2019. I graduated with a major in Computer Graphics Technology and a minor in Japanese Studies.

After graduating from IUPUI, I spent some time teaching English in Japan, and substitute teaching in NW Indiana. Last spring I joined the Indianapolis Teaching Fellows program, and will be earning a Master's in Teaching from Marian University this coming spring.

In my free time I enjoy listening to music, and painting. I also love traveling and seeing the world, which is something I greatly miss right now. I actively seek out ways to learn more about different languages and cultures.
Classroom Information

This year all scholars will be in the classroom, with some E-Learning/Virtual days built in. If we have a snow day, we will log on to Microsoft Teams and continue with instruction.

This year we will focus a lot on building on reading, writing and math skills throughout the day. Small groups will be a strong focus this year as well. We want to make sure your scholar is getting the instruction and support they need to achieve their goals.

Tuskegee
Our classroom college this year is Tuskegee University.
