Mrs. Anna Stephenson » Music

Welcome to music, where every scholar is a "Tindley Music Maker"! We try our best to make things fun and engaging in the music room while learning all about notes, rhythms, sounds and styles. We move, clap, dance, and sing every day for a complete mind and body educational experience. There are lots of instruments to be played and songs to be sung, so what are you waiting for? Come join me in making music this year at Tindley Genesis Academy!
Mrs. Stephenson is a licensed K-12 music educator, currently teaching General Music full time at Tindley Genesis Academy. She loves sharing her passion for music with young minds, inspiring them to do their best and explore a world of creativity and expression through instruments and singing. Mrs. Stephenson graduated from Andrews University with a Bachelors in Music Education in August of 2020. In the midst of her college studies, she took a year off to travel to Thailand where she taught piano, flute, ukulele, and choir. Mrs. Stephenson also has years of performance experience in Choirs and Wind Symphonies. She especially loved her role as Percussion Section Leader for the Andrews University Wind Symphony. There's nothing better than a well-timed cymbal crash or an epic timpani roll! Her hopes for the music program at Tindley Genesis is that every scholar will learn to love and enjoy making music, and that music will ultimately help scholars succeed in all other areas of life as well - academic, social, and emotional.
