Our Trailblazer Robotics team has been enjoying a historic amount of success so far this school year and they’re not quite done yet.
In addition to winning many awards like the 2023 Greenwood District Judge's Award, the team was also awarded the Engineering Inspiration Award and the 2023 District Event Championship (Mishawaka); qualifying them for The FIRST Championship competition in Houston, TX also known as “Worlds.”
The Houston competition takes place from April 19-23 and will feature teams from 30+ nations including the United States, Mexico, China, Canada, Israel, Australia, China and more.
We are so proud of our 14 traveling scholars (20 total) who make up the Trailblazer Robotics team. They include juniors Akielah Edwards, A'kon Watkins, Damaris Reaves, Elijah Brinkley, Guillermo Garcia, Jeremiah Bailey, Jeramiah Robinson, Karimah Abdullah, Lamar Worthman, Ramiyah Richardson and Welles Gupton. Freshmen: Kaila Leath, Kazaria Fairley and 8th grader Sebastian Gomez.
As you can imagine, this life-changing trip to Houston is an expensive one, with a quick turnaround. If you would like to support our 13 scholars in their journey to Worlds, you can do so at the following link (be sure to choose ‘robotics): https://tindleyschools-bloom.kindful.com/
